About the event
Sgraffito Class
Artists will be provide a leather hard 9-10 inch plate. The plate will be colored with a black engobe. Artists will learn how to use a variety of tools to carve about the black background to expose the white clay to create his/her design. Artist can come with a black and white drawing or ideas to be prepared. Following the workshop, Kandy will take plates home to dry and be fired. Artist will pick up finished plates in two weeks.
