Watercolor: Painting Loosely with Karen Utech

Friday, March 6: 1 pm-4 pm
Participants will enjoy experimentation and learning the foundation of watercolor and various techniques. Learn how to be loose, create simple, clean washes, and save the details toward the end of the painting experience. Water is the key to painting loosely; also key is allowing the water and pigment to do the painting for you. Students will learn wet-into-wet, spattering, spraying, and dripping techniques to create a landscape, and engage in fun, inspiring exercises. This class is suitable for beginners and students with some experience. All supplies are included, except that students should bring a terry-cloth towel. Students are welcome to bring their own supplies.
