About the event
You will be “weaving” your natural elements into a personal artwork, our “loom” will be permanently attached to a 100-year-old barn board that is 8”x10” with a hook for display. The wood has been treated.
Gather elements of nature that are personal to you (or that you just found) for the workshop. This will give your weaving a “sense of place” and make it yours!
You may have sticks, seed pods, dried flower stalks, feathers, shells, etc., that you have found on hikes, in your backyard, at your cabin, or on vacation. If you'd like, you can purchase some dried stalks, flower stems, and other materials before the workshop. Your stash of yarn, fabric, ribbon, raffia, and string may also be elements you wish to add to the work. It is HIGHLY recommended that you gather meaningful items for the weaving.
