Wisconsin artist Jeanette Gabrys was born and raised in Cedarburg. She studied fine art and illustration at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, where she earned a bachelor of fine art.
Most often created in watercolor, her paintings primarily feature botanical themes, rendered in delicate detail and sometimes enhanced by the application of gold leaf. Her handmade books often feature these subjects as well.
Jeanette now lives in Port Washington with her husband, Michael.
